Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

I managed to catch a show of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. So did many people all over the world.
With opinions flowing freely and web being exploited to the core, this post is not meant to be a review of the movie, the movie was entertaining, but it does not have a shelf life, this is what the post is all about,
Shelf Life comes out of the fact that even after 10 or 20 or let's say 25 years you would want to pick up a movie and watch it, Dil Chahta Hai was such a movie,  Luck by Chance may not enjoy the same kind of longevity but it does have a shelf life too,
No doubt it will make money for it's producers primarily because India is star smitten, half the people would go and watch the movie for Hrithik and Katrina, maybe some for Farhan, Abhay and Kalki.
Leaving the trash 80's and the 90's, if I go further back in time there are movies I would want to pick up and watch again and again,
There were multiple reasons for that and the same are listed as below:
- We had actors and actresses who were stars,
- The Director had a vision of making a movie
- Stars would be a part of masala movies as well as experimental cinema (that's what made them diverse)
We often compare ourselves with Hollywood and say well,  the movie has to be cheesy because it sells, I have no qualms with that,  after all it is for the entertainment of the audience but we at the least expect the stars to act,
In ZNMD thankfully there are stars who can act,
